Developing an AR Drone

Zac and I have set out on an ambitious project and entered the SXSW Drone Hacking Competition.

  1. We closed development on this project since we were unable to gain access to an AR drone before the day before the event, and we just ran out of time. We were able to get the Ping sensor working on the rotating stepping servo motor. This was a big step toward creating 3d maps of the surroundings. Although now if we were to revisit this, we would probably go for multi sided videos to generate the map.
